The Mechanical Assembly Technician supports the assembly and testing of low-complexity mechanical and hydraulic assemblies, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to established procedures and standards.
Internal: Service Workshop, Customer Service, QHSES, and Engineering teams
Assemble and test mechanical/hydraulic components following detailed work instructions, specifications, and safety standards.
Develop and apply basic skills in the operation of tools, equipment, and materials related to assembly and testing activities.
Identify various product and tooling properties to support efficient workflow.
Complete all required documentation, including test reports, failure reports, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), as requested.
Clean and prepare components according to written or verbal instructions.
Assist senior technicians with advanced assembly and testing activities, ensuring all equipment, tooling, and spare parts are ready for use.
Learn and follow all safety procedures and quality standards in daily operations.
This is a learning-focused role where tasks are performed under close supervision and based on detailed instructions. The technician will work closely with supervisors or senior team members for daily guidance and skill development.
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent; technical diploma preferred.
Experience: Basic knowledge or exposure to mechanical tools, equipment, and techniques.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, ability to follow instructions precisely, and commitment to safety.
Primarily shop-based, with high noise levels and occasional exposure to chemicals or high-pressure equipment.
May require working in varying weather conditions.
PPE and safety training provided.
