Job Purpose:
Supports the assembly and testing of basic mechanical and hydraulic assemblies in a service workshop environment.
Key Interactions:
Internal: Service Workshop, Customer Service, QHSES, and Engineering teams
Main Responsibilities:
Perform basic mechanical/hydraulic assembly tasks following established procedures and work instructions
Assist with the operation and proper use of tools, materials, and equipment
Clean and prepare components according to verbal and written specifications
Complete required documentation including test reports, failed test reports, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
Support senior technicians in more complex tasks and ensure equipment, tooling, and spare parts are prepared for assembly and testing
Learn and adhere to all safety procedures and company standards
Job Scope:
Entry-level "learner" role with hands-on training
Performs tasks under close supervision and receives detailed daily instructions
Regular interaction with supervisors and senior technicians for guidance and support
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent; technical diploma preferred
Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical assembly techniques
Willingness to learn and follow established procedures and safety practices
Work Environment:
Shop floor environment with high noise levels
May involve working with high-pressure systems, chemicals, and occasionally in outdoor conditions
Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required
