We’re partnering with a leading offshore services organization to hire an experienced Directional Driller (WEC Specialist – DD) to support deepwater operations. This is a senior, client-facing role responsible for safe, efficient, and reliable service delivery in high-pressure offshore environments.
This position is ideal for a seasoned directional driller who is technically strong with motors and RSS, comfortable managing client relationships on the rig, and confident operating under pressure.
Execute directional drilling service delivery with a focus on safety, accuracy, and performance
Maintain safe, efficient, and reliable PSD to customers
Ensure all job deliverables are accurate and delivered on time
Identify service delivery improvement opportunities and implement standard work practices
Manage operational risk during service delivery
Participate in job risk analysis and continuous improvement programs
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships on the rig
Ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards through CAT processes, self-assessments, and wellsite inspections
Participate in Service Quality Meetings and drive performance improvements using action plans
Support HSE and Quality initiatives
Wear required PPE and comply with all HSE policies and procedures
Maintain all required safety and offshore certifications
Required
6+ years of deepwater directional drilling experience
Strong experience with downhole motors and Rotary Steerable Systems (RSS)
Ability to manage client relationships directly on the rig
Proven ability to work under pressure in complex offshore environments
Advanced English communication skills (verbal and written)
Valid U.S. work permit allowing offshore assignments outside the U.S.
Preferred / Strongly Valued
Jet-in experience (training can be provided if needed)
Experience working with NGC clients or similar deepwater operators
Prior experience in highly regulated offshore environments
Required offshore certifications will be completed during onboarding
Specific certification requirements will be coordinated following candidate selection
