The TLM Quality Control Operator is responsible for ensuring oilfield equipment is prepared, inspected, documented, and delivered in accordance with operational requirements. This role supports equipment reliability, asset utilization, and cost efficiency by ensuring tools and equipment are job-ready before deployment and properly processed upon return.
This position works closely with Equipment Readiness Leads, Engineers, and Operations teams to support safe and efficient service delivery.
Equipment Readiness & Quality Control
Assist with final preparation of surface and downhole equipment prior to field deployment
Perform non-invasive maintenance, inspections, and final checks on equipment and ready boxes
Verify that equipment meets product line and TLM quality standards
Work Orders & Documentation
Execute assigned work orders in the CMMS, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Organize and maintain documentation including:
Calibration records
Function tests
Material certifications
Inspection and compliance records
Support third-party quality control inspections when required
Logistics & Asset Handling
Prepare equipment and critical spares for shipment and staging
Assist with shipping, receiving, and equipment returns
Perform mechanical lifting and material handling as required
Support Shared Base Support (SBS) activities when necessary
Continuous Improvement & Compliance
Participate in initiatives to improve equipment readiness, asset utilization, and cost of service delivery (CoSD)
Follow TLM standards, safety procedures, and the Competency Management System
Promote a strong safety and quality culture within the equipment base
Experience working with oilfield or industrial equipment in a shop, yard, or maintenance environment
Familiarity with CMMS systems, work orders, and asset tracking
Mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail
Ability to follow procedures, documentation standards, and safety requirements
Strong organizational and communication skills
Willingness to support continuous improvement efforts
Equipment base / shop environment
May include lifting, material handling, and use of mechanical aids
Must comply with all safety, quality, and operational standards
