The Technology Quality Technician is responsible for supporting quality control operations within an electronics manufacturing environment. This role conducts inspections, testing, and reporting activities to ensure components, assemblies, and finished products meet required specifications and quality standards.
The technician combines hands-on technical skills with an understanding of the Quality Management System (QMS) and the impact that nonconforming materials or processes may have on product performance and reliability.
Inspect documentation, components, materials, subassemblies, and finished equipment against established specifications
Perform quality inspections and tests using calibrated measurement equipment
Conduct manufacturing and engineering tests in accordance with standard work procedures
Assist with design, setup, and configuration of test fixtures and testing equipment
Ensure all inspection and testing activities are performed safely and in compliance with procedures
Participate in the development and review of Hazard Analysis and Risk Control documentation
Perform calibration of measurement systems when authorized
Maintain familiarity with inspection procedures, test plans, and quality standards
Provide feedback to support continuous improvement of inspection and testing processes
Document inspection and test results and monitor results stability over time
Apply Manufacturing System principles to support continuous improvement initiatives
2–3 years of experience in quality inspection, electronics manufacturing, or related environments
High School Diploma required
IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification required
Hands-on experience with:
Soldering
Metrology / measurement equipment
Experience working within SMT (Surface Mount Technology) manufacturing environments
Strong communication skills
Basic computer proficiency and ability to use quality documentation systems
Background in electronics manufacturing quality control
Experience inspecting SMT assemblies or electronic components
Familiarity with quality documentation and testing procedures
