Position Summary:

The Storekeeper is responsible for the accurate and efficient handling, movement, and documentation of materials and products within the warehouse. This includes receiving, inspecting, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching inventory in accordance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards. The Storekeeper plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, and overall operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all relevant company policies including personnel, safety (QHSE), and inventory procedures.

  • Perform receiving, inspecting, labeling, storing, picking, packing, issuing, and disposal of inventory items.

  • Accept supplier deliveries; verify goods received match the purchase order and packing list, and ensure they are in suitable condition. Report discrepancies promptly.

  • Ensure all outgoing materials are properly packed, labeled, and accompanied by correct documentation.

  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the warehouse and goods shipping/receiving areas.

  • Optimize warehouse space by organizing and maintaining effective bin locations.

  • Conduct inventory cycle counts and assist in full physical inventory counts as required.

  • Support materials management processes such as Kitting and Kanban replenishment.

  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies or warehouse-related issues under supervisor guidance.

  • Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment safely (training and certification required).

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or warehouse lead.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Cleanliness and organization of warehouse and shipping/receiving areas

  • Accuracy of inventory records and cycle counts

  • Timeliness and correctness of order fulfillment

  • Efficiency of storage and space utilization

  • Compliance with safety and operational procedures

  • Accuracy of incoming and outgoing goods inspections

  • Minimal inventory discrepancies and resolution turnaround


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Previous warehouse/storekeeping experience preferred

  • Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems (ERP/WMS)

  • Ability to lift up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs] and perform physical tasks

  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain upon employment

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
