Job Title: Senior Operations & Analytics Engineer
Location: Remote with 75% Travel (Monday–Friday, Nationwide)
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Operations & Analytics Engineer to join our Remote Operations Support Center (ROSC) team. This dynamic, field-forward role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and enjoys combining hands-on field work with data-driven operational analysis. The position involves approximately 75% travel to project sites across the U.S. and 25% remote work, primarily supporting high-priority field operations and driving performance optimization.
Travel to priority project sites to identify, diagnose, and resolve critical production and operational challenges.
Engage directly with onboard crews and observe operations firsthand to assess issues not easily detected by sensor data or dashboards.
Collaborate with ROSC engineers to troubleshoot in real time and support high-stakes operations.
Work closely with site teams to guide key operational decisions using both on-the-ground observations and centralized analytics.
Provide context to ROSC for unavailable or auxiliary data (e.g., visual fill site behavior, equipment sounds, manual gauges) to improve system awareness and diagnostic quality.
Assist in educating field teams on operational indicators and system behaviors to enhance their contributions to the ROSC.
Train crews on how to request data reviews, engage ROSC for troubleshooting, and utilize performance insights.
Collect local, supplemental data at field sites to enrich and contextualize centralized ROSC monitoring.
Integrate field-collected insights with ROSC data streams to analyze trends, validate hypotheses, and drive operational improvements.
Act as a bridge between field teams and ROSC, ensuring timely communication of findings, recommendations, and evolving project needs.
Deliver clear, actionable feedback and facilitate mutual understanding between field operations and centralized engineering staff.
Identify and drive opportunities to improve dredging efficiency, reduce downtime, and streamline operational workflows through root cause analysis and continuous improvement methods.
Contribute to detailed documentation of investigations, root cause analyses, corrective actions, and long-term recommendations.
Support the development of End-of-Job (EOJ) reports, lessons learned summaries, and diagnostic tools to ensure knowledge retention and recurring value.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Marine, or related field); advanced degree preferred.
5+ years of engineering experience in operations, production analytics, or field support—preferably in heavy civil, marine, dredging, or offshore construction environments.
Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret operational data and develop actionable insights.
Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving experience in dynamic environments.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with field crews and technical teams.
Comfortable working on vessels and in physically demanding environments; able to travel frequently (Monday–Friday travel pattern with occasional extended stays).
Competitive base salary with regular performance and salary reviews
401(k) with 100% company match on the first 6% of employee contributions (immediate vesting)
Annual company profit-sharing contributions based on performance
Comprehensive health coverage: Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription
Company-paid Life and Disability Insurance plans
Paid travel and per diem coverage during field assignments
