Position Overview
The Solutions Integration Engineer is responsible for supporting internal teams and global business units in deploying the appropriate cloud-based solutions within the organization’s digital platform environment. This role ensures successful solution design, implementation, and adoption for both internal and external customers. The engineer provides advanced technical support, guides field teams on deployment strategies, and acts as a subject-matter expert throughout the solution lifecycle.
Develop solution design competencies that support the successful rollout of cloud platforms and digital applications.
Capture and standardize best practices to improve future deployments.
Stay current with emerging technologies and incorporate new capabilities into cloud solution strategies.
Manage infrastructure and system image customizations required for cloud adoption.
Ensure seamless onboarding of customers into the organization’s cloud environment.
Partner with regional and global teams throughout the sales and deployment cycle, providing technical advisory, workshops, solution design input, and proposal contributions.
Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot complex issues across web applications, backend services, and IaaS deployments on Azure, Google Cloud, and other major cloud providers.
Translate technical problems into clear, concise summaries for senior leadership.
Design, manage, and optimize HPC environments spanning thousands of servers, storage systems, and tape automation solutions.
Install, configure, and support Linux-based operating systems (RHEL, CentOS, Rocky Linux).
Support distributed computing environments using tools such as xCAT.
Maintain hardware platforms including servers, robotic tape libraries, GPUs, SSDs, and disk arrays.
Configure and support HPC storage solutions such as ClusterStor, NetApp, Dell Isilon, and Pure Storage.
Develop and troubleshoot scripts in Bash, Bourne, C Shell, Perl, Python, Ruby, and MRTG.
Support PostgreSQL installations and database operations.
Provision and manage cloud infrastructure (Azure, GCP), build images, and automate deployments.
Use configuration and provisioning tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
Manage backup and recovery operations using enterprise tools (e.g., IBM Spectrum, Dell Networker).
Evaluate HPC system performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
Diagnose system-level issues across compute, storage, and network layers.
Adhere to change management procedures, including full testing before production deployment.
Clearly communicate upcoming changes, potential outages, and user impact to stakeholders.
Maintain compliance with internal IT deployment standards.
Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and best practices.
Collaborate with systems, networking, programming, desktop support, operations, and facilities teams to resolve issues.
Work with vendors to troubleshoot hardware/software problems.
Provide weekly written status updates and discuss progress in team meetings.
Participate in on-call rotations, after-hours work windows, and scheduled data center maintenance events.
Peer review major projects to ensure quality and alignment with deployment standards.
Maintain adherence to all quality, security, and HSE requirements.
