Position Title: Site Engineering Trainer
Location: Houston, TX (Local candidates only)
Travel Requirement: Approximately 7 months per year (paid travel within the Gulf and East Coast U.S.)
We are seeking a Site Engineering Trainer to support the onboarding and continuous development of Site Engineers and other technical staff. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy field work, traveling to dynamic job sites, and mentoring others in technical environments. The successful candidate will play a vital role in developing team capabilities in hydrographic and topographic surveying, survey software, productivity tools, and internal procedures.
Promote and maintain a safe, incident-free work environment.
Lead the onboarding and technical training of new Site Engineers.
Deliver training on:
Hydrographic and topographic survey practices
Survey and vessel guidance software
Productivity suite software
Internal engineering policies and procedures
Develop and maintain technical documentation and best practice guides.
Create and upload training content to the internal learning management system (LMS).
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing on-site training and support across project locations.
Travel regularly to job sites (approximately 7 months per year) for hands-on training and orientation activities.
Must reside in the Houston, TX area.
Ability and willingness to travel frequently to various job sites.
Strong background in civil engineering, site engineering, or a related technical field.
Proficiency in hydrographic/topographic survey techniques and software.
Strong communication and coaching skills.
Experience creating training documentation and LMS content is a plus.
