Provide senior-level technical leadership and hands-on engineering support for rotating equipment, with a primary focus on gas and steam turbines used in power generation. This role also supports large-scale industrial projects involving compression and pumping systems for alternative fuels and industrial gases, including hydrogen, ammonia, syngas, and CO2.
PLEASE NOTE:
Lead specification, evaluation, and selection of rotating machinery for large capital projects
Develop and maintain mechanical engineering standards, procedures, and equipment specifications
Perform life-cycle cost analysis for rotating equipment repair, replacement, and upgrade strategies
Conduct root cause failure analyses (RCFA) and incident investigations using recognized methodologies
Develop Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Failure Modes & Effects Analyses (FMEA) for new and existing assets
Design and implement preventative and predictive maintenance strategies for critical machinery
Prepare Requests for Proposal (RFPs), manage bid processes, and perform detailed technical and commercial bid evaluations
Specify ancillary compression and pumping equipment based on defined operating conditions
Provide technical support to operations, project teams, and internal stakeholders
Collaborate with vendors and OEMs to resolve complex rotating equipment issues
Support development and continuous improvement of internal engineering standards and equipment specifications
Manage multiple workstreams by prioritizing scope, schedule, cost, and risk
Review projects for compliance with safety, engineering, construction, and operating standards
Develop project scopes, schedules, cost estimates, and budget forecasts with minimal supervision
Provide field engineering support as required
Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers to strengthen technical capability across the organization
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution
Experience
Minimum of 10 years of direct experience in rotating equipment design, maintenance, and operation within large industrial or plant environments
Proven experience supporting gas and steam turbines in power generation applications
Working knowledge of compressor and pump station design, including facilities operating under process safety management (PSM) requirements
Experience supporting combined-cycle power plant or comparable industrial facilities
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, P&IDs, flow diagrams, and cause-and-effect documentation
Strong foundational engineering analysis and problem-solving skills
