Senior Process Engineer

JAB Recruitment are supporting a major energy operator with the appointment of a Senior Process Engineer on PAYE contract basis to join their team in Barrow-in-Furness. 4 days 1 at home option.

This is a senior technical role providing process engineering support across onshore and offshore oil & gas operations, with a strong focus on safe, reliable and efficient asset performance.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing process engineering support across production systems and equipment
• Monitoring and optimising process performance, throughput, energy use and reliability
• Troubleshooting equipment and process issues and supporting root cause investigations
• Providing technical input to modifications, capital projects, design reviews and commissioning
• Supporting turnaround, start-up and commissioning activities
• Participating in HAZOP, HAZID and LOPA studies
• Supporting Management of Change activities
• Reviewing process work scopes, job packs and method statements
• Overseeing contractors and vendors from a technical perspective
• Maintaining technical documentation, calculations, datasheets and procedures
• Supporting incident investigations, including Kelvin TopSet methodologies

We are looking for someone with:

• Strong experience within onshore and/or offshore oil & gas operations
• A solid understanding of process plant and production facilities
• Experience with systems including compression, dehydration, nitrogen removal, sweetening and condensate stabilisation
• Knowledge of asset integrity, maintenance and operational process engineering
• Familiarity with API, ASME, ISO and DNV standards
• Experience of offshore safety case and permit-to-work environments
• A degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline, ideally MEng
• Chartered Engineer status would be advantageous
