Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced 2nd Mate for an upcoming marine assignment. Candidates must hold the appropriate USCG credentials and have experience in vessel navigation, deck operations, cargo handling, and lashing supervision.

Required Licenses & Certifications

• USCG Mate 500/1,600 GRT Near Coastal

• Radar Observer

• Advanced Fire Fighting

• Medical First Aid

• Bridge Resource Management (BRM)

Required Experience & Responsibilities

• Previous experience serving as a 2nd Mate or in a comparable vessel officer role

• Experience supervising cargo handling and lashing operations

• Assist with vessel navigation and bridge watchkeeping duties

• Oversee safe cargo loading, securing, and unloading operations

• Support the Master and Chief Mate with daily vessel operations

• Ensure compliance with maritime safety regulations and vessel procedures
