Overview:
JAB Recruitment are currently looking to source a Project Manager for a Permanent Position on behalf of our Utilities Client. 

As a project manager, you will be part of the Gas Operations leadership team who are responsible for the delivery of a complex, high value infrastructure programme for Cadent Gas Chelmsford project.

Reporting directly into the Operations delivery manager/ Operations Director. The project manager and their team will ensure the timeous delivery, quality, HSE and ensuring compliance in-line with our clients established specifications and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the integrated project teams to safely deliver the portfolio of projects in line with contracts and frameworks.
• Effectively manage resources to ensure the most cost-effective model is deployed.
• Manage costs throughout the life cycle of each project.
• Support future tenders to ensure longevity of contracts.
• Effective and visible leadership for the programme of works
• Monitor/review and deliver commercial expectations and quality standards.
• Health and Safety champion for the programme of works
• Sustainable reduction in delivery costs to bring the required efficiencies on the programme.
• Ensure alignment with our client’s vision through delivery of the contract. Build/develop and maintain relationship with the client and gas construction senior team.
• Successful delivery of performance management model
• Build skilled and sustainable team to support programme delivery.
• Key contributor to the delivery vehicle strategy to ensure sustainable performance and secure contract extension.
• Effective communicator with the wider programme team
• Ensure suitable supply chain in place to support programme delivery.

• Previous experience at project management level in a similar environment is essential.
• You will be able to demonstrate your experience of delivering large portfolios of projects, ideally to an annual value of up to £10M.
• Knowledge of the Gas, construction or utilities industry is essential.
• Outstanding leadership qualities required.
• Strong health and safety focus
• A knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering would be useful, though not essential.
