Overview:
The Production Planner supports daily production order management and scheduling activities on the shop floor under direct supervision. This is an entry-level role within the Manufacturing Scheduling job family, designed to build foundational skills in production planning, scheduling, and materials coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and release production orders within established guidelines

  • Use dispatch reports to coordinate daily schedule execution and material flow

  • Perform short-term (?30 days) production planning to meet delivery targets

  • Monitor and adjust schedules to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime

  • Support inventory management to ensure material availability and accuracy

  • Assist with forecasting, master data updates, and engineering change management

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and develop scheduling expertise

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Basic understanding of Forecasting, FP, MRP, Excel, Theory of Constraints, Master Data, and Inventory Turns

  • Familiarity with Engineering Change Management processes

  • Experience with ERP systems (preferred)

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, procurement, or customer service
