Job Title: Senior Production Engineer
Location: Aberdeen
Contract Type: Contract (37.5 hours per week)
Day Rate: £365/day (Inside IR35)
Perform well and network hydraulics.
Carry out detailed production optimisation (allocation and production prognosis).
Conduct safe injection evaluations with a solid understanding of well barriers.
Undertake well productivity and inflow control analysis.
Plan wells, completion design and interventions, including operational follow-up.
Monitor and manage sand production.
Deliver production-specialist services, including:
Well test analysis
Well chemistry
Cased hole logging
Rock mechanics evaluation
Provide production technical input to field development and modification projects.
Analyse and integrate production data across the value chain, communicating risk and uncertainties effectively.
Contribute to multidisciplinary teams for reservoir characterization, mapping, target identification and well planning.
Collaborate with reservoir engineers on history matching, allocation uncertainty and drainage issues.
Demonstrate commercial awareness and apply business understanding in technical decision-making.
Support digitalisation, technology development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Adapt to changing business needs and maintain strong risk awareness.
Minimum 7 years’ technical experience with proven delivery in production/petroleum engineering.
Proficiency with commercial production engineering tools (IPM suite – Prosper/GAP/Reveal, NETool, Kappa).
Experience in production and injection management.
Exposure to both project development and operational environments.
Advantageous experience in:
Subsea production systems
Flow assurance
Production log planning and analysis
Rock mechanics
Well completions and stimulation
Reservoir engineering
Artificial Lift (ESP, Gas Lift)
Data analytics, scripting or programming
