The Mechanical Technician is responsible for ensuring the on-time delivery of equipment in line with operational demands. This role plays a key part in reducing maintenance-related nonproductive time (NPT), improving asset reliability, and enhancing the overall efficiency and productivity of the Maintenance Base (MB).
Maintain assigned equipment according to established maintenance programs and in compliance with the Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) strategy.
Accurately record materials, labor, parts usage, work orders, and maintenance history in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Ensure strict adherence to Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) standards and transactional discipline.
Participate in a culture of continuous improvement, contributing to initiatives that improve asset utilization and reduce Cost of Service Delivery (CoSD).
Support efforts to reduce equipment downtime by improving turnaround time, minimizing failures, and resolving work-in-process delays.
Assist in projects focused on planned repair and reuse of parts to enhance cost efficiency.
Participate in failure investigations and contribute to root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Maintain compliance with the TLM Competency Management System and continually develop technical skills.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to maintain and repair complex equipment.
Familiarity with CMMS/TLM systems and standard work processes.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to safety and quality standards.
Effective team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
