Shop and Road Calls
The Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and preparing surface equipment—such as trucks, trailers, and support units—to ensure safe, on-time, and efficient operational delivery. This position plays a key role in minimizing downtime, improving asset reliability, and supporting field operations through both in-shop and road-call maintenance.
The Mechanic also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and ensures all work complies with company standards, safety policies, and Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) procedures.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on trucks, trailers, and other surface equipment in accordance with maintenance schedules and company standards.
Conduct diagnostic testing to identify electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues.
Complete all maintenance documentation within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), recording labor, materials, and equipment history.
Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce downtime and increase asset utilization.
Participate in failure investigations and assist in implementing corrective actions.
Conduct field and road-call repairs using company-provided service vehicles.
Maintain an organized, safe, and compliant work area at all times.
Participate in inventory management and ensure proper use and storage of tools and parts.
Adhere strictly to HSE policies, wearing required PPE and reporting hazards immediately.
Preventive maintenance on a wide range of tractors, trailers, and heavy equipment.
Diagnosing and repairing electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems using diagnostic tools.
Performing road-call service and field repairs efficiently and safely.
Minimum: 2 years of experience in tractor and trailer maintenance.
Preferred: 2 years of experience in oil & gas or heavy-equipment environments.
Experience working on cement pumps, Peterbilt tractors, Air Slide, and bulk trailers.
Proficiency with diagnostic software such as CAT ET, Cummins Insite, Davie Software, and Service Ranger.
HVAC experience preferred.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Preferred: Background in Diesel Maintenance or similar technical training.
Certifications/Licenses: None required; all necessary training provided internally.
