We are supporting a major engineering and construction organisation operating across global energy and infrastructure projects. The business delivers large-scale offshore and onshore developments and is recognised for its focus on innovation, sustainability and digital transformation within the energy transition space.
They are looking to appoint a Material QC Inspector to support a long-term decommissioning and carbon capture project. Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, this position will be responsible for all inspections and quality control activities on incoming materials, equipment, and instrumentation arriving on site.
The Material QC Inspector will execute inspection activities in accordance with project requirements, the QC Plan and applicable standards. This includes ensuring correct receipt, handling, storage, preservation and documentation of all materials delivered to site.
Perform inspection and quality control checks on all incoming materials and equipment, ensuring correct handling, storage and preservation.
Review Purchase Orders and Project Specifications to verify compliance with supply requirements (visual and dimensional checks).
Conduct visual inspections of delivered items, confirming integrity of supply and correct item marking.
Prepare Material Receipt Reports (MRR/MIR) and liaise with the relevant stakeholders regarding material arrivals.
Ensure all inspections, certifications, and quality documentation are managed in line with Codes, Standards, procedures, QC Plans and ITPs.
Maintain complete and accurate records of inspections, test documents and material certifications, ensuring full traceability for final As-Built dossiers.
Issue Inspection Material Reports, Receiving Inspection Reports and Non-Conformity Reports when required.
For subcontracted scopes, verify implementation of approved QC Plans/ITPs, witness inspections and collect associated quality records.
Minimum 5 years conducting material control and QC activities on Oil & Gas construction sites.
Relevant technical degree or diploma.
Quality control across structural, mechanical, civil and electrical equipment.
Familiarity with international codes, standards and material certifications.
Strong MS365 capability, particularly Excel.
