Position Overview
The Manufacturing Technician will support shaped charge manufacturing in a fast-paced, semi-automated production facility. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, comfort working with HMIs, and the ability to operate production equipment safely and efficiently in a hazardous materials environment. The technician will install tooling, run automated production bays, package charges, and assist with troubleshooting basic mechanical or process issues.
This position requires the ability to obtain BATFE L4 clearance.
Operate Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and touchscreen systems to run production bays.
Install and remove mechanical tooling using basic hand tools such as Allen keys and torque wrenches.
Work within a semi-automated manufacturing environment, interacting with hydraulic presses, robots, and conveyor systems (operation only—no maintenance duties).
Handle, load, and package shaped charges in accordance with safety and quality requirements.
Use job packets, routings, work orders, wire lists, quality travelers, and bills of material to perform daily tasks.
Maintain production tools and equipment to ensure consistent operation.
Perform basic troubleshooting to diagnose defects in products, processes, or programs and support corrective actions.
Follow established testing techniques and procedures for assigned work cells or technical projects.
Uphold productivity standards, quality expectations, and strict safety protocols in a hazardous materials environment.
Top 3 Must-Have Skills:
Hands-on experience using HMIs or touchscreen-driven systems
Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with basic hand tools
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
Additional requirements:
Ability to work independently and proactively without constant supervision
Basic understanding of electronics, hydraulics, mechanical assemblies, or automated machine operation
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow structured processes and documentation
Comfortable working in a hazardous materials environment and maintaining strict safety standards
