The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems on CNC and manual machining equipment. This role supports production uptime by performing preventive and corrective maintenance with minimal supervision and plays a key role in equipment reliability, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Install new mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and modify existing equipment for new applications.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, electronic power drives, and control systems.
Troubleshoot complex equipment issues to minimize downtime and restore operations efficiently.
Schedule and independently perform maintenance and repairs on all NC and manual equipment, including multi-axis lathes and mills.
Execute preventive maintenance using written instructions, checklists, and standard procedures.
Assist with installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment.
Maintain equipment in accordance with established procedures and report any deviations or concerns.
Use hand tools, automated, and semi-automated equipment as required.
Train and mentor other technicians and operators in functional areas as needed.
Create and maintain preventive maintenance checklists for operators.
Prepare detailed maintenance reports and documentation for management review.
Participate in pre-job and toolbox meetings.
Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and wear required PPE at all times.
Complete all required safety and compliance training.
Experience maintaining and repairing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on the following platforms:
Mazak (critical) / Mazatrol
Mitsubishi Controls
Siemens Controls
Mori Seiki
QEM
Nagel TBT
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
5–10 years of maintenance technician experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
Former Mazak field technician experience highly preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including documentation and justification of maintenance needs.
Basic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
Forklift and scissor lift experience (certification can be provided).
Familiarity with SAP and Brady LINK360 (Lockout/Tagout) systems.
Fine electronics and soldering experience.
