Machine Operator (Electronics Manufacturing)

Location: Houston, TX
Pay Rate: $20/hour
Shift: Monday – Friday | 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Second Shift)
Schedule: Weekend work may be required as needed
Experience Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Position Overview

The Machine Operator is responsible for supporting safe, efficient, and reliable production operations within an electronics manufacturing environment. This role assists with operating and maintaining production equipment used in electronic assembly while ensuring all work is completed according to operational procedures and quality standards.

The Machine Operator plays a key role in maintaining production flow, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring equipment and products meet operational demands.


What You Will Do

  • Operate manufacturing equipment in accordance with established procedures and competency levels

  • Assist with operation of screen printers, pick-and-place machines, and reflow ovens used in electronic assembly

  • Identify and verify electronic components prior to production

  • Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance activities as required

  • Participate in pre-job meetings and toolbox talks with team members

  • Follow established operational procedures and safety protocols

  • Report equipment issues, production problems, or deviations from procedures

  • Support failure investigations when equipment or production issues occur

  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency and service delivery

  • Utilize the Manufacturing System principles to support continuous improvement initiatives

  • Maintain accurate documentation and system updates within company software


Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 – 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Ability to identify electronic components

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • Screen printing equipment

    • Pick-and-place machines

    • Reflow ovens

  • Ability to follow standard procedures and work instructions

  • Basic computer proficiency

  • Familiarity with SAP or similar manufacturing systems is preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
