The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment and systems at a high-performance Shape Charge Manufacturing Facility in Rosharon. This precision-driven environment requires a technician who is skilled, safety-conscious, and capable of troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to support efficient production operations.
Read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical schematics.
Install, inspect, and maintain production equipment and systems including motors, conveyor systems, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and robotic systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system failures and implement timely corrective actions.
Adjust and repair machine components using hand and power tools.
Fabricate parts as needed for repair or upgrades.
Conduct routine preventative maintenance and perform safety inspections.
Operate forklifts and overhead cranes (upon successful training/certification).
Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete maintenance reports.
Maintain a clean and safe work area and ensure compliance with all safety protocols.
Collaborate with engineers, production teams, and cross-functional departments.
Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology or related field (minimum 2 years) or equivalent technical experience.
In-depth knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Allen-Bradley RSLogix PLC programming experience required.
Experience with Fanuc Robotics control software preferred.
Experience using RMCTools – Delta Controllers and Human Machine Interface (HMI) preferred.
Proficient in using inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, meters) and general hand/power tools.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Business Suite.
Must be eligible for BATFE Level 4 Clearance as an employee possessor of explosives.
Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) background check.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Physically capable of performing job duties including lifting, climbing, and working extended shifts/overtime when required.
Must be available for flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.
Fast-paced, high-precision manufacturing setting.
PPE required in designated areas.
Exposure to industrial machinery and hazardous materials with strict safety protocols in place.
