Laboratory Technician

Overview:
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable laboratory support to ensure high-quality service delivery at the wellsite. This role performs quality assurance testing, prepares laboratory reports, assists with additive selection and fluid design, and provides technical support to operations. The position also maintains communication with Client Support Labs, operating districts, product centers, and the InTouch knowledge system.

Key Responsibilities

Laboratory Operations & Testing

• Conduct quality assurance testing on company products and prepare detailed laboratory reports for upcoming jobs.

• Ensure all job deliverables are accurate, complete, and delivered on time.

• Maintain laboratory equipment in clean, calibrated, and proper working condition, and ensure waste is disposed of regularly and safely.

• Perform routine audits to verify the lab meets required standards and compliance expectations.

Technical Support & Fluid Design

• Support additive selection and fluid design, developing the competency necessary to perform advanced technical evaluations.

• Assist Design Engineers, Technical Engineers, and Product Champions with laboratory testing and analysis.

• Provide technical input and prepare presentations for internal teams and external customers.

Safety, Quality & Service Delivery

• Conduct risk analyses before each task to identify and mitigate safety or quality issues.

• Participate in Service Quality meetings and contribute to performance improvement action plans.

• Engage in HSE and Quality initiatives, wear required PPE, and maintain all required safety certifications.
