The Laboratory Technician is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable Product and Service Delivery (PSD) through quality assurance testing and technical support. This role prepares laboratory reports, supports fluid design and additive selection, and ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards. The Laboratory Technician also contributes to continuous improvement by assisting engineers, product champions, and customer service teams in maintaining high service quality.
Perform quality assurance tests on company products to verify compliance with standards.
Prepare accurate and timely laboratory reports to support wellsite service delivery.
Develop competency in advanced additive selection and fluid design.
Maintain laboratory equipment in clean and working condition; ensure proper waste disposal.
Prepare technical presentations for internal teams and external customers as required.
Conduct regular laboratory audits to ensure compliance with required standards.
Assist Design/Technical Engineers and Product Champions with technical support.
Perform risk analyses before tasks to identify and mitigate potential safety or quality concerns.
Participate in Service Quality Meetings with customers and support action plans for performance improvement.
Adhere to all HSE and Quality initiatives, wearing PPE and maintaining required safety training.
Entry-level; no prior laboratory or oilfield experience required — training provided.
Flexibility, willingness to learn, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Field and lab-based setting with exposure to chemicals and equipment.
PPE required: hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, coveralls, and steel-toe safety boots.
