Hydraulic Tubing Installer – Marine Vessel (Independent Contractor 1099)

We are seeking a highly experienced Hydraulic Tubing Installer to support our client with the outfitting of high-pressure hydraulic systems on a marine vessel in Pensacola, Florida. This is a temporary 1099 independent contractor role, working full-time (Monday–Friday) until the project concludes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install high-pressure hydraulic tubing systems using carbon steel and stainless steel tubing aboard a marine vessel.
- Accurately route, bend, flare, and install tubing and fittings per marine industry standards.
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and vessel drawings to ensure precise installation.
- Coordinate with the shipyard team and direct assigned helpers for installation support.
- Maintain high standards for safety, cleanliness, and installation quality in a shipyard environment.
- Strictly adhere to all instructions issued by the shipyard’s safety officer.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while on site.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience installing hydraulic tubing systems in marine and/or shipyard environments.
- Proven ability to work with carbon steel and stainless steel tubing for high-pressure systems.
- Proficient in the use of hydraulic installation tools and equipment.
- Ability to work independently while managing support personnel.
- Strong understanding of marine safety and shipyard protocols.
Preferred (Not Required):
- Experience with dredge hydraulic systems is a strong plus.
