The Head of Strategy & Growth is a critical strategic leader within the CFO organisation. This role is responsible for shaping enterprise strategy, evaluating long-term growth opportunities, driving strategic initiatives, and leading corporate development activities such as partnerships, market expansion, and M&A assessments.
Working closely with the CFO and Executive Committee, the role brings analytical rigour, strategic insight, and cross-functional influence to support the organisation in achieving its financial and operational ambitions.

Lead periodic reviews of the organisation’s perspective on market fundamentals and assumptions
Translate strategic objectives into actionable initiatives, KPIs, and execution roadmaps
Partner with Business and Finance to assess strategic opportunity spaces and value creation potential
Develop and drive the organisation’s business development strategy
Source, evaluate, and structure strategic partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures
Lead and progress business development opportunities in collaboration with Finance, Legal, and external advisors
Work with Finance to build market assessments, business cases, and financial models that support strategic objectives
Lead market, competitor, and customer analysis to inform strategic priorities
Strengthen the strategic and macro-economic understanding of the Board of Directors and Leadership teams
Act as a key thought partner to the CFO, CEO, and senior leadership team
Drive alignment across production, operations, and finance to ensure effective execution of strategic initiatives
Manage cross-functional strategic projects, ensuring delivery against timelines, budgets, and intended outcomes
10–15+ years’ experience in strategy, corporate development, business development, management consulting, investment banking, or related disciplines
Proven track record of leading strategic planning processes and growth initiatives
Experience working within or closely alongside a CFO organisation is strongly preferred
Prior involvement in M&A activities, including opportunity sourcing, due diligence, and integration, is advantageous
Exceptional strategic thinking with strong financial and analytical acumen
Ability to synthesise complex information and communicate effectively at Executive and Board level
Strong project management capability with proven cross-functional leadership skills
Highly collaborative, with sound commercial judgement and the ability to influence without formal authority
High integrity with a strong ownership mentality
Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Forward-thinking, innovative, and confident in constructively challenging the status quo
