Under direct supervision, the Field Chemical Technician supports chemical treatment operations and customer relations in the oil and gas industry. This role involves installing, maintaining, and relocating chemical injection systems, treating production wells, and servicing chemical pumps. The technician will travel to customer sites to collect samples, monitor injection effectiveness, and ensure proper application of production chemicals.
Assist in maintaining and strengthening customer relationships.
Set up, operate, and maintain chemical injection systems on production sites.
Travel to customer wells to collect samples, perform treatments, and adjust injection parameters.
Relocate and install injection systems as needed.
Maintain and service chemical injection pumps and related equipment.
Understand and apply knowledge of production systems, flow lines, valves, and pressure dynamics.
Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Support business development efforts by identifying potential opportunities and participating in client presentations as requested.
Maintain accurate records of chemical usage, treatments, and service visits.
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 2 years of experience in production chemicals or oil and gas field operations.
Strong working knowledge of:
Flow lines and valve applications
Pressure dynamics and production systems
Basic computer proficiency (e.g., MS Office, reporting software).
Must be able to travel to various customer sites.
Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement preferred.
Field-based role; regular travel required.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor environments.
Adherence to all safety standards and operational procedures is mandatory.
