The Equipment Readiness Technician is responsible for preparing and maintaining equipment to meet operational demands while ensuring reliability, efficiency, and utilization of division assets. This role supports equipment preparation, maintenance activities, documentation, and staging to ensure equipment is ready for deployment.
This is an entry-level role ideal for individuals with mechanical aptitude, warehouse experience, or equipment handling backgrounds who are looking to grow within an operational environment.
Assist the Equipment Readiness Lead and Engineers with equipment preparation for upcoming jobs
Execute assigned Work Orders (WOs), typically involving non-invasive maintenance and final preparation of surface and downhole equipment
Verify equipment certifications and calibration status
Assist with final functional testing, including:
Calibration checks
Equipment inspection
Certification verification
Pressure testing
Measurement calibration
Metrological inspections
Execute WOs within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) while ensuring accuracy and compliance with standard procedures
Prepare and organize documentation related to:
Calibrations
Function tests
Material certifications
Inspections
Third-party quality control processes
Prepare equipment and associated spare parts for shipment and staging
Load equipment onto trucks when operational support is unavailable
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, asset utilization, and reducing cost of service delivery (CoSD)
Follow all Technology Lifecycle Management standards and competency systems
High School Diploma or equivalent
Basic mechanical aptitude
Ability to work in an industrial or warehouse environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to follow work instructions and documentation procedures
Self-motivated with strong reliability and integrity
Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities
Forklift operation (standard or specialty forklifts)
Industrial warehouse or equipment yard experience
Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook
Exposure to maintenance tracking systems or CMMS platforms
Training for forklift operation may be provided if required.
14 Days On / 6 Days Off Rotation
12-hour shifts
Split rotation:
7 days on day shift
7 days on night shift
Rotation begins on Thursday to help balance weekly overtime
New hires will attend NEST training in Kellyville, Oklahoma.
Frequent lifting of tools and equipment up to 50 lbs individually
Team lifting of equipment up to 100 lbs
Repetitive loading and unloading of equipment into shipping crates
Extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and equipment handling
Regular forklift operation
On-site interview required
