Job Title: Construction Laborer – Industrial Plant

Location: Nisku, Alberta

Compensation: $22.00 per hour

Position Overview

The Construction Laborer is responsible for supporting plant construction, maintenance, and turnaround activities under the direction of the Foreman or General Foreman. This role involves site preparation, concrete work, material handling, and general plant production support within an industrial environment.

The ideal candidate will have prior construction or industrial labor experience and a strong commitment to safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive assignments and direction from the Foreman or General Foreman

• Read and interpret basic instructions and work procedures

• Move materials and equipment to designated work locations

• Set up and prepare work sites for construction activities

• Pour and spread concrete

• Set forms and assist with surface finishing

• Participate in plant maintenance and turnaround projects

• Support plant production activities including receiving and shipping materials

• Complete required documentation and maintain accurate records

• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition

• Perform housekeeping and clean-up activities

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

• Wear required PPE at all times

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous construction or industrial labor experience preferred

• Experience with concrete work (forms, pouring, finishing) preferred

• Ability to work in an industrial plant environment

• Strong understanding of workplace safety practices

• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials regularly

• Reliable transportation to Nisku, AB
