Bulk Plant Operator

Job Summary

The Bulk Plant Operator is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable delivery of products and services (PSD) to customers. This role oversees the daily operation of the bulk plant, including blending, mixing, and transferring materials to wellsites while maintaining strict quality control (QC) and safety standards. The operator also supports the training and development of other operators and trainees, ensuring full compliance with company policies, industry standards, and environmental regulations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all job deliverables are completed accurately and delivered on time.

  • Blend and mix bulk materials according to job program design and delivery schedules.

  • Verify and calculate required quantities of material blends before loading.

  • Follow Product Line (PL) quality assurance procedures to ensure correct loading and product integrity.

  • Coordinate the movement of bulk materials to and from wellsite locations with the PSD and Logistics teams.

  • Assist with monthly inventory counts and complete daily documentation for goods received and shipped.

  • Label and store additives safely; dispose of empty containers in compliance with environmental guidelines.

  • Perform daily equipment inspections and maintain plant cleanliness and operational readiness.

  • Identify and report hazards, participate in risk assessments, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and wear appropriate PPE at all times.


Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in bulk plant, oilfield services, or manufacturing operations preferred.

  • Familiarity with blending, mixing, and handling bulk materials a plus.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

  • Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts and loaders.

  • Basic computer literacy for inventory, QC, and reporting systems.

  • Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to safety and reliability.


Additional Information

  • Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment and follow strict safety standards.

  • May involve extended hours or shift work based on operational needs.

  • Compliance with all HSE and regulatory standards is mandatory.
