Position Summary:

The Assembler is responsible for assembling and testing mechanical products across various product lines. This role requires the ability to read blueprints, identify and install components accurately, use hand tools and precision equipment, and troubleshoot any issues during the assembly and testing process. The Assembler will also maintain accurate labor records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble components across all product lines according to engineering specifications and quality standards.

  • Select and use the correct tools, fixtures, and rework techniques as required for assembly tasks.

  • Perform functional testing on assembled products and ensure conformance to specifications.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve assembly and testing issues using logical problem-solving methods.

  • Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

  • Accurately identify mechanical components and apply appropriate dimensioning and tolerances.

  • Operate relevant machinery and tools required in the assembly process.

  • Maintain accurate and timely labor records for all assigned transactions and work orders.

  • Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives by using tools and principles from the Manufacturing System.

  • Follow all safety and quality policies and procedures.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification is a plus.

  • Prior mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.

  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.

  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.

  • Basic computer skills for data entry and recordkeeping.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Work Environment:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.

  • May be exposed to loud noise, moving mechanical parts, or hazardous materials (with proper PPE).
