Accounts Receivable Analyst (Contract | 6–12 Months)

Lakewood, CO (Hybrid: Mon–Wed onsite | Thurs–Fri remote)
 

A leading midstream energy company is seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst to support its Water division. This is a 6–12 month contract opportunity based in Lakewood, CO, with potential for extension.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and enjoys collaborating cross-functionally to improve processes and ensure billing accuracy.

* Candidates must be authorized to work indefinitely without present or future need for visa sponsorship. 
 

Key Responsibilities

• Support the monthly billing cycle for water invoices

• Review and audit trucking tickets for accuracy; make corrections in ticketing systems

• Assist with invoice documentation, Excel reporting, and backup support

• Complete monthly account reconciliations

• Meet strict monthly invoicing deadlines

• Partner with transporters, customers, and internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies

• Assist with contract management and coding

• Support internal and external audit requests

• Identify and implement process improvements

• Provide general administrative and accounting support

• Maintain confidentiality and uphold strong safety standards

 

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field OR 4+ years of relevant experience

• Minimum 1 year of accounts receivable or accounting experience

• At least 2 years of administrative experience

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office - Within Excel, V-lookup and Pivot Table functions are a must! 

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines

Preferred:

• Oil & gas industry experience

• 4+ years of accounting or AR experience
