Temporary/Contract position – 6-month assignment

Working Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM. Start time may begin earlier when needed.

PERTINENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • To have knowledge of and experience reviewing Material Test Report (MTR) to ASME and other industry standards.
  • To have knowledge of and experience reviewing Non-Destructive Test (NDE) Report to NDE procedures (like Penetrant testing, Magnetic particle testing, hardness testing, Ultrasound testing and Radiography testing procedures)
  • To have knowledge of ASME, API, ABS, and DNV standards
  • 3-5 years’ experience creating document packages for traceable parts
  • Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft word, excel, outlook
  • Prior experience creating quality documents is required
  • Knowledge of ASTM, API 8C, 6A & 17D, ASME standard is preferred
  • Knowledge in PT, UT, MT, RT and hardness testing is preferred
  • Ability to work in a team and inter-personal skills is preferred
  • Provide feedback to manager.
  • Proficient in Oracle, Glovia, and IBM Cognos Analytics Preferred

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review material test report (MTR) to ASME, ASTM and other international standards.
  • Review non-destructive examination (NDE) documentation that was received with raw or machined material.
  • Review NDE personnel certifications.
  • Review WPS/PQR that was utilized for welding.
  • Review heat treat report and supporting charts.
  • Review manufacturing routers and ensure all operations are closed before creating the quality documentation.
  • Read blueprints and specifications for product conformity
  • Gathering and preparing certification packages with traceability reports, reviewing NDE certifications, coating, weld certs, hydrostatic testing and charts and all outside procedures to meet material specifications.
  • Compile and create quality documentation for both purchased components and for parts machined in-house when required.
  • Create genealogy breakdown of all parts used on assembly using Bill of Materials, Sales Orders, Purchase Orders and Work Orders
  • Research, resolve, and provide support to internal and external customers for quality assurance issues.
  • When a non-conformance is identified in vendor provided documents, create a NCR against the vendor and follow through closing the NCR.
  • When a non-conformance is identified in a document or drawing, a NCR should be created against the appropriate NOV department and follow through closing the NCR.
  • Work with engineering, quality and manufacturing to close NCR and initiate Engineering Change Request (ECR) when appropriate.
  • Read blueprints and specifications for product conformity.
  • Work closely with Planning and Manufacturing to complete quality documents to meet deadlines.
  • Comply with all company and HSE procedures and policies.
  • Perform duties as defined in Document Control policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prefer a minimum of 5 years’ manufacturing process experience working in a quality related environment.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must be capable of reading and comprehending blueprints.
  • Prefer have experience reviewing and approving all NDE, test charts, stress charts, quality plans (ITPs), purchase orders, and other Manufacturing documentation.
  • Must be able to work effectively as a team member.
  • Must be able to effectively use Adobe Pro, Microsoft Suite and utilize ERP system.
