Position: Maintenance Technician
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and respond to breakdowns using appropriate safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout.
Coordinate shutdowns and repairs with supervisors and machine operators.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, control panels, and equipment.
Weld, fabricate, and assemble parts as needed for machine repairs and upgrades.
Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical drawings to guide maintenance and repair work.
Use mills, lathes, grinders, and other machine tools to fabricate or modify parts.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection reports, and test documentation.
Collaborate with engineers to recommend improvements to machine designs or systems.
Inspect machinery visually and audibly to identify malfunctions or worn components.
Replace faulty components and align or recalibrate parts as necessary to restore function.
Handle pipe fitting and hydraulic line installation or repairs.
Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED
Experience: At least 2 years in a related maintenance, mechanical, or electrical role
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Electrical systems, controls, PLCs, heat induction, and variable speed drives
Welding and fabrication
Hydraulics, plumbing, pneumatics
Machining, mill and lathe work
Ability to read and interpret safety protocols, equipment manuals, and technical instructions.
Strong math skills (fractions, decimals, unit conversions).
Proactive, dependable, and punctual work habits.
