Job Title: Maintenance & Pressure Testing Technician (3rd Shift)
We are currently hiring for a 3rd Shift Maintenance & Pressure Testing Technician to perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on specialized equipment used for pressure testing downhole tools. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our pressure testing operations run safely, efficiently, and accurately.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components including pressure pumps, thermocouples, tooling, treating iron, and tubing.
Diagnose and resolve hydraulic system issues such as control valves, pumps, motors, cylinders, and pressure hoses.
Perform basic electrical troubleshooting including VFDs, motors, 4-20mA and 24V sensors, and control systems (PLC/RMC).
Address pneumatic system problems, including valves, cylinders, vacuum systems, and compressors.
Conduct preventative maintenance on pumps, compressors, drivers, and auxiliary equipment.
Safely rig downhole tools into pressure vessels or bunkers, connect high-pressure tubing, and execute pressure tests using HMI remote control and data acquisition systems.
Create and maintain accurate documentation and reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, and maintenance/test reporting software.
Communicate effectively with engineers, managers, and cross-functional teams both verbally and electronically.
Perform additional duties as assigned and adapt to changing job requirements as needed.
Education:
Associate degree or technical certification preferred OR equivalent experience in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or robotic systems.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of formal training or hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Experience using Allen Bradley RSLogix, RMC Logic, and Keyence Marking Builder software is a plus.
Skilled in using and maintaining hand/power tools and measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers).
Familiarity with pressure testing procedures and interpreting results.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical blueprints, diagrams, and test plans.
Must be available for 3rd shift (Sunday night to Thursday morning).
Flexibility required for possible schedule changes including weekends, early arrivals, or late departures based on operational needs.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally throughout the shift.
Frequent bending, twisting, leaning, and stooping.
Must be able to work in a shop environment with continuous exposure to noise, dust, solvents, and oils.
