Overview
JAB Recruitment is currently seeking a Facilities Custodian on behalf of our client. The Facilities Custodian is responsible for providing a clean, sanitary and comfortable environment.
PLEASE NOTE

• This is a contract to hire position
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the US indefinitely without present or future need for visa sponsorship. No sponsorship available.
• Hours: Monday - Friday 7am-4pm, occasional weekend work
• Will need to have steel toe boots and safety glasses

Responsibilities

• Assist the Facilities Supervisor or Manager in day to day operation of the facility.
• Perform daily cleaning throughout the facility (i.e. cleaning kitchen/break rooms, vacuuming office areas, stocking and cleaning restrooms, sweeping/scrubbing warehouse floor, etc.)
• Dusts office furniture, partitions, high and low ledges and moldings, and venetian blinds;
• Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
• Set-up/tear down for special facilities events
• Assist with Department moves

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Self-motivated and dependable
• Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with fellow team members and the Hanover employees
• Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
• Required to use chemicals and aerosols correctly and safely
• Will be exposed to Bio-Hazards (body fluids) 

Working Conditions

• This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.
• Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night
• Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place
• Work surface is stable (flat)
• Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
• Job tasks are performed in close proximity to other people

Occasional

• Lift up to 50 pounds, Climbing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and reaching

Frequent
Lift up to 20 pounds, Standing, Climb stairs/ladders, stand, balance, stoop, squat, reach and lift/carry objects

• Wear PPE for skin protection, Eye protection, Steel/Safety toed shoes/boots, Work with arms extended below the waist, unsupported, elbows flexed, wrist supported and unsupported

Constant

• Lift up to 10 pounds, Repetitive movements of arms and hands, Sit with back supported, Standing and walking
